Hayato Hirose (b.1974- )

Hayato Hirose is one of the most active Japanese composers in wind band music. He has composed over 50 original band pieces, most of which are published by major Japanese and European publishers.

Besides his activities as composer and conductor, he has been a jury member for various national band competitions, as well as a guest clinician for amateur conductors and studentsat many local band organizations, whose training methods have been edited in several books (Yamaha Music Entertainment) and DVDs (Brain Music).

Mr. Hirose completed his bachelor's degree in compositon at The Boston Conservatory (USA), master's degrees in both composition and wind band conducting at Lemmens Institute (Belgium), where he studied with world renowned composer Jan Van der Roost. He is currently the faculty member at Shobi College of Music (Tokyo, Japan).

Win the 1st Place, New England Student Composer's Competition (USA)
Graduated with Kappa Phi Lambda, Bachelor of Music (BM) in composition at The Boston Conservatory (USA)
